Ministry of Mines Puts Eight Mining Fields in Five Provinces up for Auction

(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of Mines and Energy has issued a notification announcing local and international companies for the bidding of the licenses for mining exploration in five provinces of Cambodia.

The mining concession areas that will be opened for license applications are as follows:

1. The mining concession area of ​​112.72 square kilometers located in Ou Kong Kang, Thalabarivat district, Stung Treng province.

2. The mining concession area of 190 square kilometers located in Chey Sen district, Preah Vihear province.

3. The mining concession area of 145 square kilometers located in Chheb, Chey Sen district, Preah Vihear province.

4. The mining concession area of 151 square kilometers located in the area of ​​Sochet commune, Sandan district, Kampong Thom province.

5. The mining concession area of 200 square kilometers located in the eastern part of Khvav commune, Siem Reap province, and Sreyang commune, Preah Vihear province.

6. The mining concession area of 200 square kilometers located in the western part of Khvav, Siem Reap province and Svay Leu commune, Siem Reap.

7.The mining concession area of ​​196.8 square kilometers located in Prek Troung area, Mondulkiri province.

8. The mining concession area of 195.2 square kilometers located in Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province.

The ministry confirmed that the application for the mining license is set to end on February 15, 2020.
