Lawyer Ky Tech: Nine Countries and Several Foreign Orgs Involved in Sokha’s Treason Case
(Phnom Penh): Ky Tech, lawyer representing the government, said that there are nine countries, international organizations and foreign individuals involved in Sokha’s treason case.
The nine countries involved in Kem Sokha’s case are Indonesia, Yugoslavia, Serbia, Australia, the United States, Canada, the European Union, Taiwan and India. For other international organizations and individuals, the lawyer declined to provide names.
It should be reminded that on Wednesday morning, the Phnom Penh Municipal Court began the hearing of former CNRP president Kem Sokha who is accused of “conspiracy with foreign countries”. The hearing is scheduled for two days on January 15-16, 2020.
Following this morning’s hearing, Kem Sokha insisted that he is innocent and demanded the court to drop all charges against him so that he could freely exercise political freedom.
