Over 200 Companies Show Off Their Businesses at Cambodia Construction Industry Expo 2019
(Phnom Penh): Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, said that the investment in the construction sector in the first 11 months of this year was more than $8.755 million, an increase of 67.4%, with 1,081 registered companies, 845 companies of which are owned by foreign investors from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, US, France and other countries.
Chea Sophara emphasized that participation in this year’s Construction Industry Expo has increased to 207 companies and about 350 booths. Compared to last year, only around 160 companies presented at the Expo. Construction equipment, machinery, and all kinds of modern construction technology were displayed which shows the rapid progress and development of the country’s construction sector.
It should be highlighted that the Cambodia Construction Industry Expo is held every year to participate with the Royal Government in promoting the growth and development of the construction industry in Cambodia.
