Over $70M and ៛30M Raised to Modernize Calmette Hospital Following PM Hun Sen’s Appeal  

(Phnom Penh): Following the appeal of Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen to philanthropists and compatriots to donate money for the construction of a medical facility and modernization at Calmette Hospital, a total of $70,191,994 and ៛32,100,000​ was raised.

The fund, including $30 million from the Royal Goverment, has reached over $100 million. The biggest donor is the Cambodian People’s Party, donating $20 million. The Naga World donated $5 million.

Ten tycoons and three groups donated $3 million: Chip Mong Group, Oknha Thai Chea Huoth, Neak Oknha Khun Sear, Oknha Lao Mengkhin, Oknha Sam Ang, Neak Oknha Sok Kong, Neak Oknha Kith Meng, Oknha Pung Khieu Se, Oknha Hong Piv, Jian Shi Company, and Li Xutai Company.
