Ministry of Health to Deploy Over 1,000 Doctors During Water Festival
(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of Health said more than 1,000 doctors and 65 ambulances were preparing to rescue and assist people during the upcoming Water Festival.
Phnom Penh Municipal Health Department Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ngy Meanheng said that there were 1,065 prepared physicians who would be deployed across 12 health posts with the deployment of 65 ambulances to provide health services to the people during Water Festival in Phnom Penh.
The Ministry of Health has said it is ready to target health facilities at health centers with 730 doctors waiting to assist and rescue people with 13 ambulances, including mobile medical teams to raise awareness of hygienic foods and HIV/AIDS prevention.
He added that during Water Festival, doctors would be on duty 24 hours a day, including those at the health center and mobile groups in preparation to rescue and assist patients with illnesses, especially headaches, dizziness and injuries.
