PM Hun Sen to Depart from Cambodia Tomorrow to Attend Official Inauguration Ceremony of Indonesian President

(Phnom Penh): Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen will attend the official inauguration ceremony of Joko Widodo, as President, and Marul Amin, as Vice President of Indonesia, on October 20, 2019, in Jakara, along with other Heads of State/Government and Representatives from other ASEAN Member States according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation dated October 18.

The Premier will be accompanied by Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Osthman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission, as well as a number of senior government officials.

The press release added that the Prime Minister will pay a separate call on Joko Widodo to convey his well-wishes to the Indonesian President and exchange views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation and issues of common interest.

Joko Widodo was elected as the Indonesian President for the second term 2019-2024 at the National Election on April 17, 2019. The participation of Prime Minister Hun Sen and other ASEAN dignitaries in the Inauguration Ceremony reflects the spirit of friendship and solidarity amongst ASEAN nations.
