Lao PM to Pay Official Visit to Cambodia Tomorrow to Discuss Border Issues
(Phnom Penh): Prime Minister of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith will lead a high-level delegation to pay an official visit to Cambodia from September 12-13, at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Prime Minister of Laos will pay separate courtesy calls on Acting Head of State Say Chhum and President of the National Assembly Heng Samrin.
Both Prime Ministers will hold a bilateral meeting during which various aspects of bilateral cooperation and border issues will be discussed. After the meeting, the two Prime Ministers will preside over the signing ceremony of a number of documents, and then hold a joint press announcement.
He will lay wreathes at the Independence Monument and pay tribute at the Royal Memorial Statue of the Late King-Father of Cambodia His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk.
The official visit of Prime Minister of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith to Cambodia will significantly contribute to further strengthening and expanding the long-lasting relations of traditional friendship, solidarity, fraternity and fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and Laos.
