4th Meeting of Security and Defence Commissions of CLV Concluded with Success
(Phnom Penh): The National Assemblies’ commissions of security and defence of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam held a full-day meeting on Tuesday under the theme “Parliamentary Oversight Roles of the Commission/Committees on the National Defence and Security of the National Assemblies of the Three Countries in Building Cooperation and Developing a Border of Peace and Friendship.”
The meeting successfully concluded today evening. Addressing at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, Hun Neng, Chairman of the National Committee for the Defense and Civil Services of the National Assembly of Cambodia, congratulated the result of this meeting.
This valuable achievement reflects the high regard of the three countries’ commissions in ensuring and maintaining peace, stability and order to develop a prosperous and harmonious region, especially to build a border with peace, development and cooperation, he added.
The Cambodia’s head of Interior, Defence and Civil Services Commission of the National Assembly reaffirmed that cooperation in defence and security has immensely contributed to the prevention and control of transnational crimes, drug and human trafficking, money laundering, smuggling and other cross-border crimes.
