(Siem Reap): Prime Minister Hun Sen held talks with Indonesian vice-president Jusuf Kalla, co-honorary chairman of Asian Cultural Council (ACC), at Lotus Blanc Hotel in Siem Reap on Jan. 16.
Mr. Jusuf Kalla expressed his congratulations to Cambodia for hosting the 27th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF-27) and the official launching of Asian Cultural Council (ACC), which had been announced successful yesterday evening. He thanked the premier for the warm hospitality during his stay in Cambodia.
He said APPF and ACC reflect the commitment to maintain and strengthen closer relations between the two countries, especially in the 60 years of establishment of diplomatic relationship between Cambodia and Indonesia.
Prime Minister Hun Sen on the occasion expressed his profound appreciation to the high-level delegation of Indonesia who attended APPF-27 forum and congratulated the official launching of Asian Cultural Council (ACC).
He also requested the Indonesian counterparts to increase trade volume between the two countries, strive to boost tourism, trade and economy, and launch direct flights from Indonesia to Cambodia.
Before ending the discussion, he through the vice-president conveyed his warmest regards to Indonesian President Joko Widodo and wished all delegates health, success, and safe during their departure back to in their home country. (SN- Lok Samret)
