New Owner of Phnom Penh Post Fires Editor-In-Chief
(Phnom Penh): New Malaysian owner of the Phnom Penh Post today fired Kay Kimsong, editor-in-chief, for putting change of ownership statement on the newspaper front page, according to local media.
Kay Kimsong earlier confirmed that he was terminated from work, but he declined to make any further comment. His colleagues are shocked by his dismissal.
Kay Kimsong worked at the Phnom Penh Post for more than 10 years after previous owner Bill Clough bought the company from founders Michael Hayes and Kathleen O’Keefe in 2007.
