(Phnom Penh): Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Pheourng Sackona made a request to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication to end the sale of “Angkor Temples” toilet cover set on the biggest online shopping site of the US, Amazon, claiming it affects national honor and prestige of Cambodia.
“Goods have been traded on Amazon including bathroom mat, toilet cover, shower curtain with images of Cambodian flag, some temples in the Angkor site and pictures of Khmer arts.”
“Some goods has been sold since July 2018 and some in late 2018. According to an investigation of Apsara National Authorities, goods are manufactured in China by companies Bestchong and Keiwiornb.”
