(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, said that in each period, Cambodia encountered different evolutions. The era of King Suryavarman II had left us Angkor Wat as a heritage for all mankind until today, Samdech claimed.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen wrote on his Facebook that, “in the era of King Jayavarman VII, Cambodia had a strong influence and this era had left us Angkor Thom and other historic handiworks for Cambodia.”
“During the Khmer Rouge regime, it was a genocidal period which claimed the lives of millions of citizens and destroyed the country. This is the truth that we remember until present time,” Samdech Techo added.
“The period of Techo Hun Sen is a peaceful period since 7 January 1979 and it is a history that we should always remember in our lives. During the period of Techo Hun Sen, we have retained a complete peace which enables citizens to live peacefully with chances and freedom throughout their whole lives.”
“Samdech Techo Hun Sen has turned Cambodia from ashes to a prosperous country like other countries in the region and in the world with the strong economic growth which is a pride and hope for citizens and youth,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen continued.
“Let’s join hands with Samdech Techo Hun Sen in order to protect peace and development and to further develop our country more prosperously.”
