(Phnom Penh): On May 10, 2017 – ministers and senior operational experts of the Great Mekong Sub-region (GMS) from six countries – Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam – attended a meeting with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Phnom Penh to promote new strategies for drugs prevention in the region.
H.E. Ke Kimyan, head of the National Authority for Combating Drug, said, “This forum is crucial in response to issues related to drugs.” H.E. Ke Kimyan added, “Issues that occur along the border of our country are regional issues and they are shared. The Action Plan that the six countries are signing at the moment demonstrates our determination.”
