(Phnom Penh): This morning, the Phnom Penh Municipal Court questions CNRP lawmaker Ms Mu Sochua over the problem of Huot Vuthy, RFA local deputy director better known to listeners as Chun Chanboth, who cheated to meet with jailed party activists and former officials at Prey Sar prison on April 19.
Ms Sochua who was accompanied by her lawyer Sam Sokong walked into the Municipal Court this morning while many journalists are waiting outside the court building.
After Long Ry was questioned at the court Thursday, another CNRP lawmaker Mu Sochua questions this morning while Huot Vuthy called Chun Chanboth was summoned by the court to question on May 2, 2017.
On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, Chun Chanboth signed himself in as an “assistant” when he accompanied CNRP lawmakers Mu Sochua and Long Ry to meet with jailed party activists and former officials at Prey Sar prison.
Chun Chanboth could not be reached for comment on Friday. Mr. Chanboth said at Radio Free Asia (RFA) on April 19 that he did not cheat to enter Prey Sar prison like the Ministry of Interior accused him because he asked the Prey Sar prison’s officials to enter the prison formally. He also listed his real name [Huot Vuthy] in the document and he walked into the prison after CNRP’s lawmakers.
