(Phnom Penh): Prime Minister Hun Sen received a courtesy call on by British ambassador William Jesse Longhurst who has completed his diplomatic mission in Cambodia, at Peace Palace, in the morning of May 17, 2018.
During this meeting, the British ambassador informed the Prime Minister that during his four-and-a-half-year mission, he was very pleased and also said that Cambodia is a friend of England.
He emphasized that the British Embassy has highly focused on education, science and technology and during his mission in Cambodia, he was optimistic about the future of Cambodia’s educational system as well as the progress of the country.
In response, Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed his appreciation toward British ambassador William Jesse Longhurst for his hard work to strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Hun Sen reiterated his thanks, hoping that Britain would continue to support Cambodia’s education sector and wished the British ambassador whose mandate has just ended to succeed in his future missions.
